What are the technical requirement of P355GH steel?

P355GH steel is a steel plate for medium-pressure boilers.
P355GH executive standard: EN10028-2:2003.
The main purpose of P355GH:
The European standard EN10028-2:2003 is used to manufacture high-temperature performance steel plates for container equipment. Tensile strength Rm360-630MPa, yield strength ReH: 235-355MPa, 20-24% less elongation, small impact KV J °C -20°C--27J, 0°C --34J, +20°C- -40J: European standard EN10028-2:2003 product thickness reaches 8-260mm. Status: +N normalizing, +NT normalizing and tempering, +QT quenching and tempering.

P355GH acceptance standard:

The acceptance test must take into account all heat treatments that the parts are subjected to during the manufacturing process. If the contractor does not require the provisions of M122, the acceptance test must meet the requirements of this section. In this case, it is not necessary to carry out the test of the delivery state, but the sample must be separately simulated in the laboratory furnace to eliminate the stress heat treatment. The regulations on heat treatment conditions must follow the requirements of M151. Sampling conditions, test methods and the specified values of the test results are the same as those of the samples that have been heat-treated only.
The specified values of low tensile strength at 300°C are as follows:
For P235GH steel: 324MPa;
For P265GH steel: 369MPa;
For P295GH steel: 423MPa;
For P355GH steel: 459MPa.

P355GH high temperature tensile test

The elongation at break after the high-temperature tensile test is recorded as a reference. The impact absorption energy at -20°C and -40°C of the impact test shall meet the requirements of Table I in the annex. §8.6 Ultrasonic inspection must be performed in accordance with AFNOR standard NF A04-305: ——For steel plates for level 1 equipment: Only the parts with a thickness of 12 mm must be inspected in accordance with the criteria of level C of the scan chart in this standard. In addition, as stated in 5.2.2 of this standard, a test must be carried out in the weld zone as on the edge of the steel plate. ——For steel plates for Class 2 equipment: In accordance with the standard drawings and Class B guidelines, only parts with a thickness of 30 mm are inspected.

P355GH technical requirements

When specified in the equipment, the following additional tests must be carried out:
1) Analysis of finished product composition;
2) Tensile test at 300℃;
3) Bending test at room temperature;
4) 4) Impact test at -20℃ or -40℃.
