SA299GrB carbon steel plates

ASME SA299GrB (SA299 Grade B or SA299 Gr.B) steel plate is a carbon manganese silicon steel plate for pressure vessels, and it is an American brand of high pressure vessel steel. SA299GrB carbon steel plates are generally used in welding parts whose working temperature does not exceed 400 ℃, such as boiler drums, pipes, pressure vessels and other equipment. Therefore, SA299GrB steel is required to have high medium temperature strength, good plasticity and heat treatment performance and welding performance. ASME SA299 is suitable for welding manganese silicon carbon steel plates used in boilers and other pressure vessels. The steel plates are divided into two grades: SA299GrA and SA299GrB. The thickness of the supplied steel plate is not more than 200mm.

SA299GrB steel plate with thickness less than or equal to 50mm is usually delivered in rolled state, and can also be delivered in the state of normalizing, stress relief, or normalization plus stress relief; SA299GrB steel plate with thickness greater than 50mm should be normalized Heat treatment. You can also add the flaw detection standard requirements, flaw detection level requirements, alloy element composition control requirements, etc. according to the requirements, but it needs to be communicated by the supply and demand parties and indicated in the contract.
