09CuPCrNi-A steel for for container manufacturing

The main load-bearing structure of the container flat car adopts 09CuPCrNi-A steel Q450NQR1 high-strength weathering steel with a yield strength of 450 MPa, and the section steel is mainly made of self-made profiles to reduce the weight of the vehicle and reduce the manufacturing cost. It is characterized in that the alloy composition and weight percentage content of weathering steel are: C: ≤0.12, Si: 0.25 to 0.75, Mn: 0.2 to 0.5, S ≤ 0.02, P: 0.06 to 0.12, Cu: 0.25 to 0.5, and Cr: 0.3 ~ 1.25, Ni: 0.12 ~ 0.65, the rest are Fe and trace elements. Through alloying of Cu, Mn, Si, Al, etc., and simple adjustment of some element content of ordinary low carbon steel (Q235 steel), it can produce good atmospheric corrosion resistance without changing the production process conditions of Q235 steel economical weathering steel with comprehensive mechanical properties.


Weathering steel plate itself is a steel plate for containers, which is designed to be painted. It is not suitable for completely naked installation. These two are medium-grade weathering steel grades, which are mainly used in train wagons and have a corrosion resistance of 3 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. Weathering steel refers to a protective rust layer that is resistant to the atmosphere corrosion. Q450NQR1 sheet, Corten A steel and 09CuPCrNi-A steel plates can be used to make low-alloy structural steel for steel structures such as vehicles, bridges, towers, and containers. Compared with ordinary carbon steel, weathering steel has better corrosion resistance in the atmosphere. Compared with stainless steel, weathering steel has only a small amount of alloying elements, such as phosphorus, copper, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, niobium, vanadium, titanium, etc. The total amount of alloying elements is only a few percent, unlike stainless steel, which reaches 100%. Ten percent, so the price is relatively low.
