Grade NM400

Chinese steel grade NM400 is a wear-resistant plate. It is achieved by adding different alloy elements to achieve solid solution strengthening, grain boundary strengthening and second phase strengthening of the matrix structure. It has presented low-alloy martensite steel, bainite steel, and austenite. Duplex/Bainite Duplex Steel, Martensite/Bainite Duplex Steel, etc. In recent years, with silicon as the main alloying element, the use of silicon has strongly suppressed the characteristics of carbide separation during the bainite transformation process.

NM400 wear plate has high strength and high fracture resistance; high impact strength; excellent wear resistance. The high-strength NM400 wear-resistant plate has a special heat treatment process. The steel has both high strength and high resistance, and excellent casting processability. Compared with high manganese steel and high chromium steel, the wear resistance is improved by more than 2 times. The ultra-high-strength NM400 wear-resistant plate is alloyed by rare earth transformation, and after a certain process, nano-scale bainite/martensite complex phase structure is obtained.


NM400 steel plate has a tensile strength of 1950MPa, an elongation after fracture of 17%, a shortening rate of 38%, HRC55, Aku72J, excellent resistance endurance induction function, extremely strong theoretical research value and use promotion value. The steel has good mechanical processing function, casting function and welding function. After isothermal quenching, the strong plastic product reaches 51GPa%. High strain rate deformation ballistic test indicates.
